Frequently asked questions

Who is eligible to join TheLung Society?
Pulmonologists, respiratory physicians, residents and students of pulmonary medicine, allied respiratory professionals, and institutions supporting respiratory health. Each membership category lists its specific eligibility.
How do I pay the membership fee?
After submitting the application form, scan the QR code shown with any UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) and pay the membership fee. Then confirm the amount you paid and upload a screenshot of the payment as proof. Our secretariat verifies it against the bank statement and confirms by email.
What documents do I need for the application?
A recent photograph, your medical registration certificate, and proof of qualification. Students and residents should also attach an institution letter or ID.
Is Life Membership a one-time payment?
Yes. Life Membership is a single payment with no renewals, and includes all member benefits permanently.
How long does approval take?
Applications are reviewed by the membership committee, typically within 7–14 working days. You will be notified by email at each stage.
